In fact,\u00a0<strong>82 bird species still breeds here every year,<\/strong>\u00a0two more than in other remarkable wetlands such as Do\u00f1ana National Park.<\/p>\n<p>Located just 25 minutes from Almagro, this park is\u00a0<strong>a very small part of the Guadiana river,<\/strong>\u00a0a floodplain where\u00a0<strong>freshwater &amp; saltwater blends<\/strong>\u00a0and set up\u00a0<strong>an ecosystem unique inland the World<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Over 300 bird species has been identified into the park<\/strong>. Other treats include\u00a0<strong>Nightingale, Western Olivaceous Warbler, Bearded &amp; Penduline Tit and Reed Bunting<\/strong>, the\u00a0<strong>endemics Iberian Woodpecker and the Iberian Shrike. Hoopoe, Kingfisher, Tree Sparrow, Spanish Sparrow,\u00a0<\/strong>Corn Bunting and Jackdaw are resident and very common species that can be found all year round, while Redstarts, Spotted &amp; Pied Flycatchers, Garden &amp;\u00a0<strong>Subalpine Warblers<\/strong>, Willow, Melodious &amp;\u00a0<strong>Bonelli\u2019s Warblers<\/strong>, or even the scarce\u00a0<strong>Wryneck,<\/strong>\u00a0can be seen when they turn up from or to Africa.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Magic winter<\/strong>\u00a0in Tablas de Daimiel offers fantastic birding experiences with\u00a0<strong>Bluethroat, Water Pipit and thousands of Common Cranes<\/strong>, birds that uses the park for overnight.<\/p>\n<p>Marsh Harrier is the only raptor that breeds into the park, but in the surroundings you can find amazing populations of nesting\u00a0<strong>Lesser Kestrels<\/strong>. Dead trees or utility poles are used by\u00a0<strong>Ospreys<\/strong>\u00a0as vantage points, a bird that can be a common sight on May &amp; September. The\u00a0<strong>Dehesa de Zacatena<\/strong>, open woodland space covered with ancient Holm Oaks located north of the wetland, is used as a game ground by\u00a0<strong>Golden Eagle<\/strong>, and, sometimes, by the rare\u00a0<strong>Spanish Imperial Eagle<\/strong>. Here breeds the nice and powerful\u00a0<strong>Short-Toed Eagle<\/strong>, and the\u00a0<span class=\"tlid-translation translation\"><span class=\"\" title=\"\">silhouette<\/span><\/span>\u00a0of the scarce\u00a0<strong>Black-Winged Kite<\/strong>\u00a0is a regular sighting all year round. The\u00a0<strong>endemic Azure-Winged Magpie<\/strong>\u00a0is also encountered in the beautiful Dehesa.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div of\u00a0<strong>the most representative steppe areas of La Mancha region<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>the Guadiana Steppes<\/strong>, with very good chances for\u00a0<strong>Quail, Turtle Dove, Great-Spotted Cuckoo, Roller, Bee-Eater, Great &amp; Little Bustard, Pin-Tailed Sandgrouse, Spectacled Warbler<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>and Little Owl<\/strong>.\u00a0<strong>Scops, Long-Eared Owl and Eagle-Owl<\/strong>\u00a0can be found in the Tamarisk trees of the area or in the Holm Oak forests around the Guadiana river, while the\u00a0<strong>very rare Red-Footed Falcon<\/strong>\u00a0has been watched regularly in April\/May and September\/October.<\/p>\n<p>Very common mammals in the park are\u00a0<strong>Wild Boar,<\/strong>\u00a0Red Fox and the playful\u00a0<strong>Otter,<\/strong>\u00a0whose traces are visible in any of the routes inside the park. Other small mammals like Iberian Hare, Weasel, Polecat, Southern Water Vole,\u00a0<strong>Badger and Egyptian Mongoose<\/strong>\u00a0are occasionally sighted at dusk.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2ce4f8b e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" a place that can be reached is just ten minutes from Las Tablas where birders may be surprised by one of the best ranges of waterbirds of Europe, including\u00a0<strong>Ferruginous Duck, Purple Swamphen, Black-Neck Grebe and over 80 breeding pairs of White-Headed Duck.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Year 2011 was excellent in all senses<\/strong>, and three uniques bird species in Europe,\u00a0<strong>White-Headed Duck, Marbled Teal &amp; Red-Knobed Coot bred into the park<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div
